FOLKFACES FEST: A Fall Folk Festival To Close The Year

This upcoming Thursday October 11th marks the beginning of the official FOLKFACES FEST at The Cherry Hill Campground in Darien Center, NY.

Before we get started, let’s address the festival’s name, Folkfaces Fest. The team hosting the festival ran into an issue with the original festival branding. This upcoming weekend will NO LONGER BE REFERRED TO AS ANYTHING BUT it’s official name,”Folkfaces Fest.” Be sure to utilize this great opportunity to attend the very first annual Folkfaces Fest.

As you already guessed, this weekend is hosted by Buffalo heavy-hitters Folkfaces. Folkfaces Fest is built to be one of the largest local folk music festivals of the year. The four night event (Oct. 11-14) will bring an eclectic lineup of folk favorites such as Dirty Blanket, Ditrani Brothers and The Hammer Spring, Shine Delphi, Chris James, and more.

In addition, Brian and Scott of Rochester’s The Honey Smugglers will be rocking a first time ever acoustic Phish tribute set. Another favorite, Matt O’Brian of Thunder Body will grace the stage with a solo acoustic solo set.

Most notably, with great respect, Dom Flemons, co-founder of the Grammy Award Winning Carolina Chocolate Drops will headline the weekend with an intimate Saturday night set. The Carolina Chocolate Drops build their reputation with an organic roots, African American Folk, sound, inspired by organic agriculture, food activism, fiber arts, dismantling racism, and simply put, a will to try and save the world!

While they last, pre-sale tickets are still available for ONLY $45 HERE! The $45 includes CAMPING and a ticket for THE ENTIRE WEEKEND. Another option, purchase a day pass for an affordable $25. Check out all the festival info on The Folkfaces’ Fest Official Facebook Event Page!
