Six Reasons to Attend Sterling Last Daze

The People

It goes without saying, Sterling Stage is worth the trip just for the people alone. “Sterling folk” are a beautiful community of music-lovers always engaged in supporting each other. Every Sterling, you will see dozens of familiar faces and build long term relationships one festival at a time. If you aren’t sold on the music yet, let me tell you, the smiling faces will be worth the trip.

Max Creek

Forty-seven years strong, the jam powerhouses Max Creek have become a tradition at Sterling Stage Last Daze. Max Creek completely takes control of the weekend with two gigantic sets on both Saturday and Sunday night. They really wow the Sterling crowd with unpredictable improvised jam that leaves you wanting more. Max Creek is a must see.

Ryan Montbleau Band

Ryan Montbleau is also an annual Sterling favorite. Continuously growing in popularity, the folk rock singer-songwriter is acclaimed for his unique, soulful voice, and precious songwriting. Headlining Friday night with two big sets on the Sterling Main Stage, Ryan bring along the full band to rock the sandals off our feel. Friday night is going to be a seriously fun time.

The Blind Owl Band

Fresh off a Thousand Islands cruise show on Alex Bay, Freight Train String Quartet The Blind Owl Band returns to the Sinatra Stage for a late-night kickoff Friday night. Per usual, Blind Owl is destined to explosively pluck deep into the wee hours of the night. Let the foot stomping commence.

Dirty Blanket

Local favorite, Dirty Blanket is poised to close out Saturday night Sinatra Stage with their fresh take on bluegrass music. With a combined array of musical interest, Dirty Blanket takes bluegrass to a new level with elements of jam, country, southern rock, and soul, mashed into a traditional bluegrass sound.

The Pines

Anyone who’s been to Sterling already knows…The festival woods are covered in tall, gorgeous pine trees that reach towards the sky.  This makes for a comfortable camping situations for everyone. Hence, Sterling Stage Kampitheater’s notorious nickname, “The Pines.”
