Exciting Lineup Changes!

With one month to go, it is unfortunate that we must announce that Floodwood will no longer be performing at this year’s The Fall Down… BUT! With this announcement we are incredibly excited to announce we have added into the mix:

Michelangelo Carubba & The MC3- Feat. Members of Turkuaz & Kung Fu

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, drummer/producer Michelangelo Carubba has been a part of the music industry professionally since 2003. He began his touring career with a nationally recognized tribute act that took him across the US and beyond. He gained more work experience working on off-broadway productions of hit shows like West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, and Les Miserables.

Michelangelo chose to attend the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2006, majoring in drum set performance. Before graduation, he met Eli Winderman of Philadelphia, and formed the band Dopapod, which still records and tours successfully to this day. He also began working with the rapidly growing and ever touring Brooklyn based Turkuaz, of which he has been the drummer of since 2009. Michelangelo has worked with numerous other artists aside from Turkuaz, under the mentorship of multiple Grammy winning drummer/producer Robert “Sput” Searight. Artists, writers, producers, and engineers.

Michelangelo has worked with and played with with include Wings and Moody Blues founder Denny Laine, Dave Matthews Band members Rashawn Ross, Jeff Coffin and Butch Taylor, members of Grammy winning ensemble Snarky Puppy including Nate Werth, Mike Maher, Justin Stanton, Chris Bullock, Bob Lanzetti, and founder Michael League, Mononeon of Prince, Ghost-Note, Nikki Glaspie of Beyoncé, Weedie Braimah, Eddie Ashworth, master recording engineer of Sublimes eponymous album, Roosevelt Collier, Oteil Burbridge, REO Speedwagon, Big & Rich, engineer Ari Raskin, Bruno Mars producer Ari Levine, drummer/producer Adam Deitch, and many more.

Joining him on the stage will be Turkuaz band-mate, Craig Brodhead & Kung Fu keyboard player, Beau Sasser.

Craig Brodhead – “Turkuaz guitarist, late night DJ and Northeast jobber; loves the band PhishCraig Brodhead

“After incubating over many Wednesday nights at Bishop’s Lounge in Northampton MA, as well as short runs and odd jobs of all shapes and sizes – MC3 have developed a shorthand that requires no other communication, songs of unknown origin and a shared freedom to take risks unfathomable in another band. I wouldn’t want to play any jobs with any other jobbers in the world.”

– Craig Brodhead

Beau Sasser hit the music scene at a young age, traversing the snowy highways of Colorado for shows with legends like John Denver and Jimmy Ibbotson of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. In the mid-90s Sasser Beau Sasserheaded east for a stint at Berklee College of Music and has been a staple on the Northeast music circuit ever since.

Around the year 2000 Sasser began performing almost exclusively on the Hammond Organ. In addition to his tenure as Melvin Sparks’ preferred organist Sasser leads his own group (Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan) and performs internationally with the progressive funk group Kung Fu.

Beau has performed with with Maceo Parker (James Brown), Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers), Alan Evans (Soulive), Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa), Ryan Montbleau Band, Martin Sexton and jazz greats Fareed Haque and Ed Mann.

These three are ready to show up and dish out original takes on funk tunes in an organ trio format. They’re gonna make you wanna   d r o p   o n e   d o w n   a n d   g e t
